In this session (approx 90 min), you'll:
Reflect on how much grace you offer yourself and essentially, how you talk to yourself in your own head. Sometimes your "inner critic" that voice, can be pretty brutal, "You should know better. Why weren't you more prepared? You look like trash. You sound like an idiot." Why are we way meaner to ourselves than to others? (It comes down to your brain trying to protect you...)
This Neurographica drawing class will give you space and time to think about how you speak to yourself when you mess up, what seeds of self-compassion you'd like to cultivate -like kindness, grace, patience etc. so that you're open to feeling more love for yourself, and acceptance that you are human. You will make mistakes - it's the cost of admission. But no one ever improved their confidence and mental health by being mean and harsh with themselves.
What would it be like to have more of an inner coach in your head, gently cheering you on, rather than an inner critic, critiquing every mis-step you make?
This session is meant for you to take some time to notice your inner critic, consider what their comments may be trying to keep you safe from, and ultimately decide how you want your own self-talk to sound, so that it supports your goals and propels you forward in life.Again, we'll explore all of this, visually, through the Neurographica drawing process. You can be a complete beginner, as everything you need to know for this process is included in this class.

(Again, no art skills needed to get started and you don't need to know anything about IFS - it's simply where I got my inspiration for the drawing series. You just need an open mind and heart and some basic drawing supplies.)
So, if you'd like to approach life with a more supportive, kind, understanding voice in your head, and let go of some of the negative words and phases that aren't terribly helpful, this is the perfect space to explore, breathe, draw, be reflective and mindful, and tune in to what you REALLY want that voice to sound like.

This class contains a replay (approx 90 min) and is the third class of an 8 week series (but the classes aren't sequential and so you don't need to have completed the other sessions to do this one). It also includes a short list of curated videos to help get you started before the drawing and reflect, after the drawing.
