All curled up in front of the TV, a typical evening of couch rot, you can finally relax because everything's taken care of for the day. Well, mostly.
You grab your phone and start scrolling because it takes too much effort to pick something else to watch.
Yoga pants ads, perimenopause symptoms, and "you can't pour from an empty cup" posts flood your feed and somehow your relaxation time spawns into $68 tummy-tucking, butt-lifting yoga pants and a chat with AI about estrogen.
You're grateful for your life. But honestly?
You feel more restless than relaxed these days.
You're so generous with your time (for everyone else), but somewhere in there, the version of you that wants something back keeps getting put on hold.
When you've prided yourself on being a hard worker, the thought of slowing down feels irresponsible.
But work is infinite (it's never actually done).
Which means you're always waiting for permission that's never going to come.
You finally feel like you're giving from a full cup again.
Instead of staring at the bottom of an empty cup, with holes in the sides, and your energy leaking all over the floor...
You're actually in the room with the people you love, instead of five other places in your head.

I know all about overworking and trading "me time" for the shit I thought I had to get done.
I burned out doing this, with my self-worth and my work all wrapped up together. I don't want you to find yourself in that same place.
That's why I created Permission to Play: to help you quiet a brain that never seems to stop, make room for one thing at a time instead of a dozen, and get real relief from the mental load you're carrying.
I've built the space and taken care of all the details.
You just need to show up.
Each month, you'll have 3 live calls, and each serves a different purpose.
Join us for your favorite, or take advantage of all three, it depends on what makes sense for you, your schedule (and if we're being honest) the kind of week you're having.
Here's what those live experiences offer you.
De-stress with Mindful Drawing:
You always have a mental to-do list constantly running in the background - even just looking around your living room, it's like more and more things get added to that list all the time.
In this session, you'll get everything out of your brain and onto the page, and then be guided through the drawing process to help you feel calmer and less overwhelmed.
After the drawing is complete, you're welcome to stick around for accountability or to plan your next step, so you leave with some of that noise quieted down and feeling more positive.
Creativity and Coffee:
Slow your brain down and make more space for your thoughts.
This session is flowy, less tactical, and you're welcome to show up in your jammies with your coffee or tea and your art stuff to be guided through a process where you're fully present, without feeling like you have to force it.
It's like you're meditating with your eyes open.
We'll do an oracle card pull for a little extra support and guidance during the session, too.
Accountability Party:
You carry so much in your brain: to-do lists, jam-packed schedules, overflowing inboxes. This hour is built in to tackle something you've been procrastinating on.
For 60 minutes, everything else gets to wait. You're just focusing on the one thing in front of you.
And once it's done, it's off your plate and out of your brain, creating space for what matters to you.
PS: What makes it a party? Throw on some music, grab a snack, comfy clothes, set a timer, decide on a reward for after - whatever makes it more fun for you!
At the very least, you'll have other people online, doing their own thing, at the same time, so that's always fun.
PPS: This is different from our drawing sessions and there will be no recording.
That's the live side of things. But what about the rest of the month?
That covers the doing side of your refill. But sometimes what fills you back up isn't another activity, it's just space to listen.
Each month, you'll also get a Tarot reading, but really, it's a chance to practice listening to yourself. Take what resonates. Skip what doesn't.
Let’s be clear.
I'm not going to tell you to plan a trip or that you’re about to win money (I don't do that kind of Tarot, lol).
It's more about the themes that tend to show up in the cards: Solitude, giving yourself permission to rest, being honest with yourself about what you already know, focusing on what lights you up, getting clear on what you actually want...
You get to sit with the themes that come up and see what makes sense for you.
I call it Tarot for self-reflection, because that's essentially what we're doing.
Tune in to your intuition and connect with yourself, by reflecting on the message that comes through. (Tarot is for self-discovery - not prediction.)
This is where we’ll play with watercolor and intuitive art to help you let go, build mindfulness and find a sense of flow that comes from doing art.
Moving your body improves mood, energy, and focus, and overall health. If you can find ways to move that you enjoy and keep some of those perimenopause symptoms in check? Win-win.
I’ll pull out my favorite self-coaching tools each month, and you can try everything on and keep what fits. The right tool at the right time can be life-changing.
It's not that you don't have time. It's where it's quietly going.
You've probably said some version of "it's not that I don't have time, I have the time." And you're right, you do. It's just that it's leaking out through the same few places: scrolling because you don't have the energy for anything else, saying yes when you meant no, redoing something that was already good enough, replaying a conversation for the fortieth time.
That's exactly what the Free Up 3+ Hours This Week checklist (plus audio) walks you through. The small, sneaky stuff you don't usually notice, so you can start reclaiming even a little of it each day, maybe even enough for that creative hobby you've been wanting to make more space for.
(This bonus is coming in August.)
A second bonus will be available in August as well, and is perfect for members who want even more guided, mindful drawing between live sessions. If that's you, you're covered.
It's after supper. The table's cleared and dishwasher loaded.
This is usually the moment you have zero mental capacity left for anything else, so you collapse in front of reruns of Desperate Housewives and grab your phone instead.
But not anymore.
✨ Now, you grab your sketchbook and coloring stuff and snuggle up on the couch to refuel with a few minutes of mindful drawing, to relax and unwind.
✨Sometimes, you choose mindful painting with your watercolors which helps release some perfectionism, allowing you to go with the flow and feel a little more creative.
✨You get out for walks to move your body and clear your head, because you want to and you notice it makes you feel better.
You notice your brain feels calmer. It's easier to be present.
And you have go-to tools for when you feel that stress creeping in, because you've been building the habit of setting down that mental load, regularly.
That's not a fantasy. That's what having some capacity back actually makes possible.
It's not about doing more. It's about doing less.
Being choosier with what you make time for and saying yes to what you actually want, and no to what you don't.
If you're ready, click the button and let's get started.
A monthly membership
What's included every month:
$37 CAD/month
Join before September 1 and keep this rate for as long as you're a member.
After that, it moves to $47/month for new members.
You can cancel at any time.
Fair, and if we're being honest, it's probably not time you're worried about, it's whether you'll have the energy left to show up. That's exactly why this is 3 live calls a month, not a whole course to keep up with. Join your favorite, or all three, whatever fits your schedule and the kind of week you're having. No pressure to do it all.
That's exactly who this is for. Maybe you've already tried the app, the journal, the new morning routine. This isn't one more thing to add to that pile, it's a place to come back to, consistently, so it has a chance to actually work instead of being one more thing you did once and dropped. But also, try this reframe - it's not that you "didn't stick with it". It's that you chose to put it down, to try something that suits you better. And that's a great way to be.
Yes. Maybe you're picturing staring at a blank page with nothing coming out, or making something and hating it. But here, you're guided through every step, there's nothing to get "right," and you don't need any art experience to feel the difference by the end.
Just paper, a marker, and something to color with. That's it. If you want to try out the watercolor activities, materials are listed - but a brush, watercolor paints and watercolor paper to start.
De-stress and Creativity and Coffee are both recorded, so you can catch up anytime if you miss the live session. The Accountabili-Party is live-only, because it gives you a real-time reason to actually show up.
I automatically register all members in the live calls so you don't have to worry about finding the link. I usually do this the week before a session. You'll also get a reminder email 24 hours and 1 hour before the live session, so you're never left scrambling for a Zoom link.
The Goodie Stash is where you can get an extra hit of mindfulness, creativity, movement etc. at any time during the month because everything is pre-recorded and ready for you to grab right away. More opportunities to quiet the noise in your brain, feel calmer and lighter.
There are 5 themes to choose from and each has an additional Neurographica (mindful) drawing, watercolor activity, ideas for movement and self-coaching tool. And don't worry about decision fatigue. If you're not sure which thing to choose, spin the spinner and let fate decide. Fun!
It's the modality I'm trained in as a certified Neurographica Specialist. On the page, I mostly call it "mindful drawing" instead, just to keep things simple and accessible, but if you're curious about the method behind it, that's the name.
Of course. You can cancel any time, but you will lose access when you no longer have a paid subscription.
PS: I coach on all of this kind of stuff, too.
If you think what you actually need is more personalized 1:1 support with prioritizing YOU, that self-talk, perfectionism, productivity or figuring out how to get some things off your plate, shoot me an email and we can chat about options.
