Feel free to pop into the community on my website and share a picture of your drawing or any insights that came to you during the process. It's inspiring to hear what parts had an impact and to see your process.

2) Create an Intention device

Research shows you're more successful with following through on things when you have created something called an intention device for yourself.

Think back to the drawing and what came up for you in terms of action steps. If there's something you would like to try to do, choose ONE of those actions to start with and create your intention device.

For example: If you've been lacking sleep because after the kids go to bed is your only ME TIME, so you stay up late to enjoy it (but then you're tired)...you may want to try to find time for yourself during the day to fill your bucket.

Intention Device:

I will do ____what (action step) _____ when (day and time; be specific) ____ where (again, be specific)____.

I will take 20 minutes for myself, after work on Wednesday, at the park to get some fresh air (and solitude) while the sitter is still with the kids.

Bonus (to boost your sense of accountability to yourself and make the plan more solid):

1) Put this info in your phone and set an alarm to remind you of your intention (the day before and day of)

2) Post your drawing up where you'll see it (kitchen fridge? in your office?) and include a post-it with your intention device

3) Tell someone about your plan - the sitter, or your partner - as an extra layer of accountability.
